Principles
ISO 9000:2000 is based on eight quality management principles. These principles can be used by the management as a framework to guide their organizations towards improvement.
Scope
The ISO standard can be used to demonstrate conformity with any process within the company. It seeks customer satisfaction by preventing non-conformity at all stages from design through service. The scope is defined during the system planning stage.
Normative Reference
It refers to the understanding of the references used by the standard. At the time of publication the references were subject to revision, nonetheless it is important to be up to date to be able to apply the most recent versions of the references.
